Christine and I spent a lovely day at our granddaughter's school near Preston giving out prizes for a competition set in March. The children were given the challenge of writing a short story and two stories would be picked out for a prize. We thought that just two prizes would be a bit unfair so all the children received a pencil and note pad and the two winners (a boy and a girl) were presented with a £10 book token each. The children were lovely and so pleased to have been awarded a prize for their efforts. A great heart warming day for us.
